It's a rampage!

Mood: Happy
Music: Kill - Jimmy Eat World

So you'd get the title if you watched strongbad. There are so many bugs around right now it's freaky! Sorry...random tangent.

Anyway, as you can see new layout again. I'm in a major Grey's Anatomy mood, so the layout matches that. I'm gonna attempt to learn more about css and stuff soon, right now I'm just working off the template I already had. It's interesting, and fun.

I'm trying to get my livejournal up and running, but so far I haven't been all that successful. Something is definitely wrong somewhere in my code, but it's hard to find out where. It all looks like complicated mumbo jumbo to me.

Btw, don't mind the post before. I was feeling....well let's admit it, depressed. But hey, over it now :) I mean, sure I'm not on speaking terms with my mum, but meh. Whatever.

That's about it!

Feeling Suffocated

Right now, I feel so trapped. I don't know what to do. I thought things would change if I didn't push it, but now it's just getting worse. I can't handle this right now. I feel really alone and angry and upset at the same time. God I'm so pathetic. I feel like such a cliche. I need to get out.

Grey's Anatomy Wallpaper

Mood: Tired
Music: True - Ryan Cabrera

I have to wake up at 6:30 tomorrow morning for tennis and I'm hell tired right now, but I figured I'd post this before I crashed. Let me know what you think!

So annoyed right now...

Let me just say, you damn comment spammers are ANNOYING!!! STOP! You're all dicks and don't you have better ways to advertise? Or is your product just not good enough. Or maybe you're compensating for something.

Grey's Anatomy

Mood: Elated
Music: Can I Have It Like That - Pharrell ft. Gwen Stefani

So this is my post about the wonder that is Grey's Anatomy, the show that just keeps getting better and better. This week's episode, "Bring The Pain" was absolute brilliance. Now, here we go people
SPOILER ALERT
STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS EPISODE OF GREY'S!!!

So Grey's this week was brilliant. I loved every moment of it! From porn guy to Meredith's confession of love to Dr McDreamy, which in my opinion was one of the greatest moments on television EVER.

Ok. Here it is. Your choice, it's simple. Her or me; and I'm sure she's really great, but Derek, I love you. In a really really big, pretend-to-like-your-taste-in-music, let-you-eat-the-last-piece-of-cheesecake, hold-a-radio-over-my-head-outside-your-window, unfortunate way that makes me hate you love you. So pick me. Choose me. Love me.

I love the way Meredith just put herself out on the line for Dr McDreamy. Ellen Pompeo played that scene perfectly.

If Dr McDreamy doesn't choose Meredith after that fantastic confession...OMG I am going to be mad BEYOND BELIEF. How can he possibly go back to Satan after Meredith put herself out there like that? But i'm getting ahead of myself. We'll see what happens, next week's episode looks hilarious and I can't wait!

Yay! Go Grey's Anatomy!

Charmaine: Kicking ass and taking names since 1988

Mood: Tired
Music: True - Ryan Cabrera

Okay so that was a completely random post title. But you'll get over it. This is a quickie, but not a one night stand type quickie because I'll be back. It's a quickie because I randomly felt like posting, but don't actually have the time/energy to type much. Ah go figure.

Tennis tomorrow at 7:45. I'm driving myself and it's the first time that I'm driving by myself ANYWHERE. So I'm kinda freaked. Wish me luck people!

Warning for the day: No glove no love! Don't wanna be getting syphilis anytime soon! You can go CRAZY from that!

Lyric-mania!

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know
You make a frist impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to ryhme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
You and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide

Collide

So right now my music tastes are very soundtrack orientated. Particularly towards the sounds of One Tree Hill, Laguna Beach and Grey's Anatomy. So anyway, I've decided to put up an ultimate-right-now-must-have-Chars-is-bored soundtrack. I would put these up for upload somewhere...but I'm too lazy. Maybe later.

1. Collide - Howie Day - Gorgeous song, heard on OTH, will put up lyrics later. It's ballad-y and Lifehouse-esque. Great song.

2. The City - Joe Purdy - Heard on GA, another ballad-y song. I actually have no idea what it's about now that I think about it, but it's fantastic. Has a similar sound to Damien Rice. Soothing. Suitcase is also worth a listen.

3. Best I Ever Had - Vertical Horizon - Another great song. It's bittersweet. Vertical Horizon is a great band, their sound is along the lines of 3 Doors Down and Nickelback (whose song Photograph is a favourite!)

4. Goodbye My Lover - James Blunt - Okay, so I'll admit I was definitely hesitant when buying Back To Bedlam, after all, it was the number one album on the charts, and no one with a more alternative sound EVER makes it to number one. But this cd is a different story. Maybe the Australian public is finally getting music taste? Goodbye My Lover is definitely my favourite track, it's a great song.

5a. Canonball - Damien Rice - This song is gorgeous. The chorus is definitely the best part of the song. In typical the music is simple, but Rice's voice comes across clearly.

5b. Volcano - Damien Rice - I wanted to limit it to one song per artist, but Volcano is just too good. It's sexy, definitely. The best way to define it. The strings add a seductiveness to the song and the crescendoes are amazing.

6. Trouble Sleeping - The Perishers - Ahh, my favourite Swedish band. Well actually my favourite band of any nationality. Their sound is mellow and the whole album, Let There Be Morning is great to chill out to. Trouble Sleeping is the best song on the album.

7. You - Switchfoot - This song is beautiful in its simplicity. The best song from one of my favourite bands.

8. The World You Love - Jimmy Eat World - I love this song! Its emo and fantastic. The lyrics of this song are beautiful and it got me through many train trips in Japan.

9. Everything - Lifehouse - It's slow, simple and beautiful. Lifehouse is a fantastic band. You And Me is also fantastic.

10. Goodbye To You - Michelle Branch - It was a close call between this song and Breathe, but this one out. Simple and sad, seems to be a formula I enjoy, doesn't it? Michelle Branch is definitely one of my favourite singers, she's got a stellar voice.

11. On The Way Down (Acoustic) - Ryan Cabrera - The acoustic version definitely wins out over the normal version. Cabera's girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson, almost made the cut with the song, Love Makes The World Go Round. Maybe it still will make the cut...

12. Taken - Plumb - A beautiful song from a little known Christian band. Beautiful images are painted with the lyrics, and the lead singer has a great voice.

13. Fix You - Coldplay - Gorgeous song with a gorgeous theme from a gorgeous band. Enough said.

14. Eve, The Apple Of My Eye - Bell X1 - Another little known band. This song was one I got from the OC mix 4. Ahh the OC, fantastic source of great music. They have a Coldplay-esque sound.

15. I'll Be - Edwin McCain - Sadly, I heard this song in Cinderella Story, that Hilary Duff movie. It's a great song though. Another great song from Cinderella Story that almost made the cut was a song from Miss Duff herself, Anywhere But Here.

16. Belief - Gavin DeGraw - Beautiful song with great lyrics from a singer who is definitely not appreciated enough here in Australia. I Don't Wanna Be, the OTH theme song is another fave. "Tonight, you arrested my mind, when you came to my defence, with a knife in the shape of your mouth, with the strength of your body, with the wrath of a God..."

17. Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson
- Beautiful song from the original American Idol winner. Going to her concer in less then a month, so yay!

18. Wonderwall - Ryan Adams - The Oasis original is fantastic, but so overdone. Ryan Adams puts a great new spin on the old classic.

19. Closer To Myself - Kendall Payne - Heard on too many soundtracks to count, something about this song is so catchy and, well, pretty.

20. My Immortal - Evanescence - My obsessesion from like 2 years ago, this song is classic. Haunting and beautiful.

So that's it, my top 20 songs. Close runner-ups were Mr Brightside - The Killers, King Of Yesterday - Jude, Dakota - Stereophonics, Kiss Me - Sixpence None The Richer and finally Save Yourself - Sensefield. If I had more time, and well energy I would probably make this a top 25 list, but, well, I can't. So screw it, :D. I've spent like an hour working on this, which is funny.

Ciao senoritas!

To change, or not to change

Mood: Kinda Angry
Music: Follow Through - Gavin DeGraw

Somebody recently said to me, "You need to change your character, you've been really annoying lately." Now maybe I'm reading into this too much, but isn't your character the basis of who you are as a person? I've gotta say, I was really upset after hearing this, as the person who said is someone who's opinion I take to heart. So it made me think. Should you change yourself to fit in?

This particular question is one which has been lingering in my mind for a while now. Recent events in my life has made me question whether one should compromise who they are for who everyone else thinks they should be. Peer pressure is tough, I'll admit that. It's hard to stay strong when you have everyone ganging up on you. Also, it's tough to juggle family and friends. How do you keep yourself from arguments, AND maintain a successful social life. Personally, I love going out and hanging out with friends, but my parents just don't understand that. It doesn't help that my brother's social life isn't all that active.

So do you change yourself to fit in? No, I don't think so. It's always been my belief that if you need to change yourself in order to fit in or impress someone, they're not worth it. If people don't agree with me, fine. I really don't care. I think being true to yourself is one of the most important things in life. Never ever compromise your individuality.

One Tree Hill Marathon, '05

Mood: Chillin'
Music: Let's Make This Moment A Crime - The Format

Ok so I just watched the entire season 2 of One Tree Hill in two days. That's like, 23 HOURS of tv. Insane, I know. The sad part is, what prompted me to watch it was the news of Chad and Sophia's divorce. The news of their engagement was when I actually started my first blog, on msn myspace and it's kinda sad that my blog has outlived their marriage. I really hope they can work it out, because they did seem really happy and they have a lot of chemistry. Maybe they just rushed it. Who knows.

Anyway, One Tree Hill season 2, my critique would be...it was good but the angst was in like overload. There were highs and definite lows. I love the references to famous literature that were used. Great stuff. I love the soundtrack to that show, it suits perfectly.

Watching One Tree Hill has also reignited my love for Jimmy Eat World. Fantastic band. Best songs are definitely Hear You Me, Polaris and The World You Love.

The Laguna Beach obsession is also continuing...I just can't stop. I would LOVE to be in Kristin's position. Two incredibly hot and sweet guys want her. Some girls have all the luck. Laguna Beach also has a damn good soundtrack.

So on the personal front, great party over the weekend. Definitely entertaining :D Good times.

Hmm what else... I'm obsessed with Grey's Anatomy. Definitely want Derek and Meredith together. I HATE ADDISON!!!! WHAT IS WITH HER AND HER SKANKY RED HAIR. Bah. I hate that in the last episode, it's getting harder and harder to hate her though!!! WHY DO THEY HAVE TO MAKE BAD PEOPLE SEEM HUMANE!!!!???

Mmk, rant over...moving on. Newest artist on my horizon: Joe Purdy. His songs The City and Suitcase are beautiful, I love his stuff. Joe Purdy, James Blunt and Damien Rice all seem to have the same style, which I am a definite fan of.

Anywho, House is going to start in like 10 minutes, so I'm gonna go!
