Yea this is spammage, but I'm allowed to, because this is my blog. So nanana boo boo to all you gay wankers who feel a need to comment with your stupid spammy links. Spam off!

Just watched Grey's, and let me just say George is seriously annoying me. Seriously! He needs to get over himself.
Oh, and btw, enjoy the desktop, got bored and just installed CS2 the other day. Yay, photoshop!

Ignorance

Mood: Tired, procrastinating
Music: For Blue Skies - Strays Don't Sleep

This is going to be another one of my self righteous rants, just so you know. So I was sitting with my friends at lunch today, and let me just say I love my friends, they're fantastic, they're awesome etc. But sometimes, I just don't agree with what they say or do. Today was a prime example of it. One of my friends, let's call her T brought up the fact that Iraqis have moved into her old house. Ok, first up, how did she know that they were specifically Iraqis? I just found it totally unreasonable to label anyone of that ethnic background as an Iraqi. Second, she commented on how she didn't want them to be "praying to Mecca" and stuff like that. I think she has unreasonably prejudiced herself against the Islamic Religion. However, then another one of my friends then went on to comment on how they might go all suicidal and blow people up. I will admit that I went along with the joke at first. And thinking back, that really sucks. I shouldn't have made those comments that I did, they were definitely wrong.

I ended up walking away with another friend who didn't agree with the racist comments either. I tried to call them out on it, but I guess sometimes standing up for what's right inevitably gets you labelled "stressed-out" or "too serious". The sad thing of this whole incident is that it labeled how ignorant the youth of this nation is. Their grasp of racial rights and ofwhat truly the cause of terrorist attacks sometimes seems non-existent. I think sometimes that these sort of callous comments will get them attacked, verbally or physically, by someone who is truly offended by them.

Procrastination

Mood: Tired
Music: Tangled Up In Me - Skye Sweetnam

...is bad. Very bad. Don't do it kids. Also don't do drugs.

Today I just don't feel like homework. Which is bad because I'm pretty much buried in assignments write now. However, I am in a writing mood, so maybe I'll write my story instead. That would be a useful usage of time. Wow that last sentence was shocking English. Just as well I'm doing English Comms then I guess. In other news, Grey's was awesome. Watch for a follow up review of the episode later in the week.

In other news, this Valentine's Day has passed yet again with a show of singledom solidarity. Yep, that's pretty much a fancy way of saying I don't have a valentine. Sad, I know.

Overworked, underpaid...or should I say not paid at all

Mood: Tired
Music: End Of Our Days - Howie Day

So it's Monday of week 2 of year 12, and I have six subjects for homework tonight. Six!!! So many assignments. It's majorly assignment overload. And all my teachers are like "You need to learn to time manage, you'll get swamped in term 2 and 3." Well I'm swamped now. Kinda screwed ay? So tomorrow's Valentine's Day. The big V-Day. Should be interesting to see how it pans out. I've decided not to expect anything. I've spent every other Valentine's Day in singledom, this one really won't be any different. No matter how much I want it to be. Oh well, don't mind me and my self-deprecation.

Currently eagerly awaiting the next episode of Grey's Anatomy!

No, glitter, because you're a fairy princess!

Mood: Tired yet interested
Music: Whatever It Takes - The Faders

Howdy doody kids. So right now, I'm sitting here waiting for my dad to finish cooking the steak for dinner. Yep steak, gotta love the red meat! I'm not one of those new-fangled vegetarians (not that I have anything against vegetarians), I'm a strong believer in eating red meat. So it's Sunday, after the first week back to school, and what did I spend today doing? Homework! Yay go me! Bah.

So in case I haven't told you guys before, I'm insane and am taking 6 subjects this year. Why? Because I'm crazy! It's so insane. I don't know why I'm doing it and I don't think I'll finish the year with six. Oh well. School and being in year 12 is...interesting. It's weird being in the year 12 common room. Hasn't really hit that we are year 12's and somehow it seems like no one really respects any of us.

Valentine's day on tuesday. There's an anonymous rose thing happening in the year 12's. Didn't get anyone one but oh well. Should be interesting to see who gets one on Tuesday! Gonna start up some drama probably. As well as that, the year 12 pool party is this friday, which should be fun. Also, there is skyshow this weekend as well as a friend's party...hopefully. Whoo, party on! That means, I've gotta do my assignments DURING the week. Actually time manage! Otherwise I know I'm gonna get to term 2 and crash and burn. Which would suck.

So I'm back at home, as you probably all guessed. Kuching was fun, but everytime I go there it just seems to get more and more boring. Hopefully some of my cousins will come down to Adelaide at the end of the year.

Now, to my TV reviews. First up, Grey's Anatomy.

What can I say. Wow. It's The End Of The World was probably the best episode of Grey's that I've ever watched. And 34.8 million people probably agree with me. It was fantastic. It started out with that good old Grey's humour (George's dream of Meredith, Izzie and Christina in the shower together was hilarious) and quickly worked up to drama (Poor Bailey and Bailey's husband!!!) The end, just totally left me hanging. Why Meredith why???? Can't wait to the next episode.

Veronica Mars, Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough did not compare to Donut Run but instead brought us back to good ol' Veronica Mars PI. It was one of those episodes that didn't really further the overall plot, but still was interesting to watch. A lot of minor characters made great appearances, Madison was back at her bitchy best. Mac and Beaver somehow, somewhere along the line hooked up much to the delight of the VM fandom. Ms Hauser, the evil villain of a teacher was shown to have a stealing habit to. And Clemmons stuck up for our Miss Mars. Also, Jackie actually managed to make you feel bad for her, Terrance Cook and Keith had some fantastic bonding moments (gotta love Keith's baseball obsession!) and Wallace showed us all why we love him. Way to defend your ex! Also, Logan managed to completely annoy me as he flirted with new girl Hannah. That's probably because I'm desperate for some LoVe now that Duncan's out of the picture. Hannah just seems way too sweet and innocent for someone as jaded and screwed up as Logan Echolls. Interestingly enough though, Hannah's father is none other than Dr. Griffiths, the guy that came forward to frame Logan with Felix's death. Could Logan be using sweet ol' Hannah? Well signs point to...yes. He still seems very into our dear Ronnie. Veronica seems to be back to her season 1 self, as sassy as ever. Sure, her confidence in her own PI skills took a beating when it seemed like she was looking for the cash box in all the wrong places, but in then end it actually turned out that her hunches were right. Just a case of wrong time. Weevil showed off his own scheming skills when he successfully managed to frame Thumper as the thief. Also, Weevil plus little niece equals adorable! Squee! So overall, good episode. Can't wait until a new love interest shows up for Ronnie though, just for the sake of seeing a jealous Logan. Fun fun fun!

Also, best quote of the episode?
Veronica: Madison, you've got something on your nose.
Madison: Let me guess. Brown, because I'm a brown-noser.
Veronica: No, glitter, because you're a fairy princess!
